Indies Supporting Indies Featuring

Marisa Blake

Bilingual TV/Film/Voiceover Actress, Musician, Mom, and More

I first met Marisa freshmen year at Warren Wilson College, which has been… a while

One of my oldest friends, Marisa is featured on the cover of my upcoming debut novel The Anchor of Time. She’s a regular Renaissance woman who has always been an inspiration to me. There are definitely threads of Marisa woven into Renata Stone–one of the main, and most mysterious characters in my book–along with other women whom I admire.

Literally years ago now, Marisa posed for these portraits, as Renata – at Studio Misha Photography. If you are in Western North Carolina, I highly recommend Misha for all your portrait needs. (I certainly don’t take a photo without her!)

Marisa is one of those magical creatives that is the whole package. Her talents are not limited to acting and voiceover work, she is also a gifted singer, musician, as well as Flamenco dancer and  basketball player! She’s a dedicated “mom of dudes” and wife too.

In short, she’s got it going on and her independent, creative spirit definitely inspires me every day to follow my passion and my art, wherever it leads.

Be sure to check out Marisa’s website, as well as follow her on Instagram.

Audible for TAOT will hopefully be available in 2021, and it is my dream that Marisa will also be the narrator! That would be full circle for me. In the meantime, check out Marisa’s many TV/Film and Audible credits here.
